Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Eddys Development (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our website and services (the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following information:
- Account information — your email address and password when you create an account. Passwords are stored securely (hashed) by our authentication provider; we never see your plain-text password.
- Profile information — your name and any other details you choose to add to your profile.
- Project request information — the name, email, project type, budget, and message you submit through our “Start a project” form.
- Communications — the content of emails or messages you send us.
- Technical information — limited technical data your browser provides, and authentication/session tokens stored in your browser to keep you signed in.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as government IDs, health, or financial account numbers) through the website.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account and keep you signed in;
- Respond to your project requests and communicate with you;
- Provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Services;
- Send transactional and security emails (for example, email confirmation, password reset, and account-security notifications);
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or technical issues;
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. Legal bases (where applicable)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a similar jurisdiction, we process your personal information on these legal bases: your consent; performance of a contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Services; and compliance with a legal obligation.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf, including Supabase (database, authentication, and hosting) and our email provider (to send transactional emails);
- Legal and safety reasons — when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security;
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
5. Data storage and security
Your data is stored using Supabase (a managed PostgreSQL platform). We use access controls, row-level security, and encryption of data in transit, and we take reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data retention
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, resolve disputes, and comply with our legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see your rights below).
7. Your rights and choices
You can access and update your profile information at any time while signed in. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at eddysdevelopment@gmail.com. We will respond as required by applicable law.
8. Cookies and local storage
We use essential browser storage to keep you signed in and to operate the Services. For details, see our Cookie Policy.
9. Children’s privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at eddysdevelopment@gmail.com and we will delete it.
10. International users
We are based in the United States and may process and store your information there. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.
